December 27 -

I was listening to the terrible news of the Bam earthquake on the drive up from Columbus.   I had a little earthquake of my own right after packing my drums into the truck.   I made a right turn a bit too quickly, and drums rained down on me -- into my lap, against my head, and pinning my arm against the steering wheel. Help me!   After a few minutes of more intelligent packing, I was able to safely continue on the long, solitary journey to the great orange and brown north.

Cleveland is cold, the polar opposite of our sweltering July 4th show in New Jersey.   We unload our gear down the long runway to the back of the sizeable stage.   Bigger is better.   Having a stage big enough to accomodate the drum rig is always an issue, but this club has passed with flying colors.

And speaking of flying colors...

We have a new light show this time around, courtesy of the club.   Triple spotlights, a moody bath of red, spinning circles of white, and eerie sheets of blue which seems to turn our black clothes red. An odd sight for me.

At times, it looks as though we are Santa's Dance Party.
